Visiting the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea from the territory of the Russian Federation is a violation of Ukrainian law, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Oleh Nikolenko, has said.
"The competent authorities of Ukraine are currently establishing the circumstances of an illegal visit by the NBC journalist to the territory of Crimea," Nikolenko said.
He recalled that people visiting Crimea from the territory of the Russian Federation face legal responsibility. Foreigners, in particular, are banned from entering Ukraine for such actions.
Nikolenko noted that a decision on further steps will be made based on the results of the check.
