The French newspaper Le Figaro's report about the training of Ukrainian pilots in France is not true, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, has told LIGA.net.
Ihnat noted that thousands of Ukrainian servicemen, including those from the Air Force, are undergoing training in different countries of the world.
In France, there were courses for air gunners, survival courses and others, but there is no talk of training for flight personnel.
He noted that a number of partners offer Ukraine sites for future pilot training.
Figaro reported that France was training Ukrainian pilots to fly Mirage 2000 combat aircraft. It was also reported that Paris may eventually deliver a dozen aircraft to Kyiv.
