Russian troops hit an educational institution in Chernihiv Region.
A child died as a result of the shelling, the head of the regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, said on Telegram.
"A hit was recorded on an educational institution (not working) in Novhorod-Siverskyy District. There is information about the death of a child who was nearby. Information about the victims is being checked," Chaus said.
The Operational Command North provided details of the Russian shelling.
"Around 14:50, two guided bombs were launched from Russian Su-35 aircraft at the village of Lizunivka. As a result of the air strike, one child (born in 2009) was killed and two more civilians were preliminarily wounded. The school building was also partially destroyed (it is not working) and private houses were damaged. Information on losses and damage is being checked," it said.
