On 2 May, Kherson Region was subjected to another bout of Russian shelling, the regional prosecutor's office has said.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson and Oleshky district prosecutor's offices, a pre-trial investigation was launched into criminal proceedings over violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, on 2 May 2023, Russian troops shelled the city of Kherson and several villages in the Bilozerka community.
According to preliminary data, Russian troops shelled civilians and carried out air strikes.
Civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, commercial premises and vehicles, were damaged.
According to the regional military administration, three local residents were killed and five others were injured.
