Russia's losses -both killed and wounded - in the Tavriya sector overnight amounted to more than a company. The missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out 232 fire missions overnight.
These included counter-battery efforts and work on planned targets, the commander of the Tavriya operational and strategic group of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, said on Telegram.
The Russians fired 162 times during the night. Nine times they attacked the Ukrainian defenders' positions, but eventually were forced to withdraw.
"The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors. It is actively using tactical and army aviation to strike at the positions of our troops. Last night, the enemy attacked our positions nine times. They had no luck and retreated. Using tanks, multiple launch rocket systems and cannon artillery, the enemy is shelling the positions of our units and the settlements bordering the contact line," said Tarnavskyy.
He added that the enemy is using UAVs to adjust artillery fire.
