Parliament has adopted into law Presidential Decree 9259 "On the extension of martial law in Ukraine" with 324 votes, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the Voice faction, has told LB.ua.

The law extends "the duration of martial law in Ukraine from 5.30 a.m. on 20 May 2023 for a period of 90 days".

The extension is expected to facilitate the adoption of adequate measures aimed at repelling Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.

Some 333 MPs voted in favour of the law approving Presidential Decree 9260 "On the extension of general mobilisation". According to the law, " general mobilisation is extended from 20 May 2023 for 90 days".

"This is parliament's seventh vote to extend martial law since the beginning of the war," the MP added.
