President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Vadym Filashkin as head of the Donetsk regional state administration and Oleksandr Koval as head of the Rivne regional state administration.
The relevant decrees were signed on 27 December and published on the president's website.
Filashkin has been a deputy head of the Donetsk regional administration since 2019 whereas Koval has headed Rivne District since March 2021.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved their candidacies on 12 December.
