In 2023, the number of foreign customers of Ukrainian gas storage facilities increased by 15% to 160 companies, Naftogaz Group said on its social media pages.
The company explained that Ukrainian specialists were among the first in Europe to successfully obtain certification in accordance with the new EU rules. Ukraine also confirmed that its gas storage facilities are reliable and prepared for war challenges, as confirmed by an independent technical assessment, and offers attractive tariffs for customers.
"This allowed us to increase the total number of partners of Ukrtransgaz, the Ukrainian gas storage operator, to 1,268 companies, and foreign traders pumped more than 2.5bn cu.m. of gas into our storage facilities," Naftogaz Group said, expecting the number of foreign customers to further increase in 2024.
