Russia hit Kharkiv with Iskander ballistic missile systems this morning, killing one woman and wounding another 52 civilians, the National Police have said.

"Six of those wounded are children aged six to 13 (four boys and two girls). The strike on Kharkiv began at 7.30 in the morning. There were at least three explosions," the police said.

· The Russians struck the centre of Kharkiv during a massive missile attack on Ukraine. In total, they fired about 99 missiles, of which more than 70 were shot down: all 10 Kinzhals, all three Kalibrs, and 59 of the 70 Kh-type missiles.

· A few hours before the missiles, the Russians launched 35 attack drones, all of which were shot down. Today's attack repeated the most massive strike on 29 December in terms of the type of weapons and the number of missiles and UAVs launched.
