The pre-trial investigation against the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support (TRC), Yevhen Borysov, on the facts of illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been completed. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, the former head of the Odesa TRC acquired assets worth almost UAH 150 million during his tenure in the absence of any legitimate income.

"It has been established that after the full-scale invasion, on his behalf, family members purchased real estate and premium cars in Spain. At the same time, the official joint income of the family did not cover these expenses," the statement said.

In December 2023, based on a request from the Prosecutor General's Office for international legal assistance, the property of the Odesa military commissar in Spain was seized: a villa and an office space. The court also seized nine land plots, two houses, one household, two apartments and six luxury cars.

At present, on behalf of the prosecutor, the investigator has informed the defence of the completion of the pre-trial investigation and provided access to the materials for review.

Borisov is in custody.
