Sea Baby maritime drones, which are actively used by the SBU to strike enemy targets, have received improved water-dynamic characteristics. These drones have already changed the concept of naval operations, and in the future are expected to be able to withstand entire enemy fleets.
One of Sea Baby's operators, a counterintelligence officer, spoke about this in an interview. He was the one who operated one of the Sea Baby marine drones that hit the Crimean bridge in 2023.
"An army of marine drones can effectively fight entire enemy fleets that cost billions of dollars and employ entire concerns. With a hundred or two such maritime drones with the ability to individually adapt them to modern warfare scenarios, the enemy fleet can simply be closed in enemy bays," the SBU special forces officer said.
The SBU officer also shared technical details of the new generation of SBU drones recently introduced. This version of the Sea Baby has improved aquadynamic and technological characteristics.
"The drone can travel more than 1,000 kilometres carrying more than 1 tonne of payload. This makes Sea Baby a multifunctional platform with the ability to install various weapons modules to destroy enemy targets, not just a kamikaze drone," he said.
