The Third Assault Brigade drove the Russian enemy out of Kopanky, Kharkiv Region. This settlement is now under the control of the Defence Forces.

This was achieved thanks to a unit of the 2nd Mechanised Battalion, the 3rd Brigade reported. In addition to a successful operation to clear the village of Kopanky from enemy forces, the brigade's fighters managed to capture a new batch of occupation prisoners.

All of them are from the 1st Tank Army.

‘During the capture, the enemy shelled the area with 152 calibre, but not at our soldiers, but to eliminate their own,’ the brigade added.

The military also published a video of a conversation with the occupiers. They said that they were all ‘under investigation’, meaning that they were sent to war to avoid serving their sentences.

The occupiers also testified in the video that they had not been beaten or tortured when they were captured. They also said that it was ‘not worth it’ to go to war in Ukraine.
