Russians violate self-proclaimed ‘Putin’s truce’ with night attacks on Sumy Region

The Air Force has reported strikes involving guided aerial bombs in Sumy Region.

At midnight, the three-day period of the unilaterally declared “truce” by Russian President Vladimir Putin — intended to last until Victory Day — officially began. However, the Russian military swiftly violated it.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force announced via its official Telegram channel that Russian tactical aircraft had launched guided aerial bombs (KABs) in Sumy Region. Less than an hour later, the attack was repeated. At around 4 a.m., the command once again issued warnings to frontline areas regarding the ongoing threat.

An air alert was declared in Sumy Region at 2:39 a.m. and in Donetsk Region at 4:06 a.m.

In addition, monitoring channels report that the Russians have not ceased combat activities along the contact line. In particular, they continue to target Ukrainian positions with multiple launch rocket systems.
