The winners were announced during a ceremony in Kyiv on 7 May.

House of Europe Award is an award for people and organisations advancing Ukraine through partnerships with the EU and the UK. Organisers said they received 463 applications across nine categories this year.

The winners are:

  • Representation of Ukrainian culture in the EU — Platform for Contemporary Dance
  • Best international cultural cooperation — the international art project Sense of Security. Bridges of Solidarity by YermilovCentre
  • Best international media cooperation — The Information Front, a joint publishing and media initiative supporting Ukrainian photographers documenting the war, by Odesa Photo Days Festival
  • Best translated publication — Melancholy of Resistance by László Krasznahorkai, published by Komora Publishing, translated from Hungarian by Oleksandr Vesheleni
  • Best international educational cooperation — the double degree programme Information Technologies for Sustainable Energy Development by Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and London South Bank University
  • Leadership in European integration — European Pravda
  • Preservation of cultural heritage — the Ukrainian Heritage Digitization and Dissemination Initiative project by Scientific and Research Lab Archaic
  • Support for the culture of national communities — the Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar literary project Qırım İnciri / Crimean Fig by Crimean House
  • Leadership in culture — Nina Khyzhna, theatre director, performer and co-founder of the independent theatre Nafta Theatre

Each winner received a financial prize, a statuette and a diploma.

House of Europe is a European Union programme offering opportunities for professional and creative exchange for Ukrainians. The programme is implemented by Goethe-Institut Ukraine.
