The Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) have struck Sevastopol’s main power substation, which distributes electricity generated by the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant, according to USF Commander Robert Brovdi.
Seven drones reportedly hit the facility, which is being used by Russian forces for military purposes. The strike was carried out by operators from the 1st Separate Centre of the Unmanned Systems Forces and coordinated by the newly established Deep Strike Centre.
“During the night of 24 June, the Unmanned Systems Forces’ Birds successfully engaged 48 operational and planned military targets in the enemy’s operational depth across the occupied southern territories,” Brovdi, known by the call sign Magyar, reported.
- Tonight, the occupation ‘head’ of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, reported a drone attack and a citywide power outage. Dzhankoy, Yevpatoriya, Saky, and other settlements were also left without electricity.
- This latest attack continued a series of strikes on occupation infrastructure. After seizing Crimea in 2014, Russia turned it into a staging ground for air and ground operations against the free part of Ukraine.
