Sevastopol has been without power since the night of 24 June as a result of a drone attack. The occupiers’ appointed ‘head’ Mikhail Razvozhayev, announced a ‘special regime’ at facilities and urged people to conserve their phone batteries.

The city’s trolleybuses did not take to their routes. Some kindergartens are operating with on-duty groups, and parents were urged to keep children at home.

The attack on Russian facilities in the city continued in several waves. Razvozhayev reported drones being shot down.

Power also went out in other cities, Suspilne.Crimea reports. Yevpatoria, Saky, Yany Kapu, Armyansk, Dzhankoy and surrounding areas were without electricity.

Context

In recent days, Ukraine’s Defence Forces have intensified strikes on occupied Crimea. Russia has faced disruptions in fuel supplies. The Crimean Bridge is regularly closed, so people who entered Crimea illegally via Russian territory cannot leave during attacks.

The occupation authorities have already banned holidays with children, and now power has gone out in part of Crimea.

On 23 June, the Special Operations Forces finished off the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal. And the Unmanned Systems Forces struck dozens of targets, including missile carriers.
