FLIP, one of Brazil’s largest literary festivals, is held annually in the city of Paraty. This year marks the event’s 24th edition.
The festival will take place at the end of July. A discussion featuring writers Andrey Kurkov and Maria Reva is scheduled for 23 July. The panel, entitled I didn’t come. I didn’t see. There was no war, will explore how authors recount events they have and have not witnessed.
Maria Reva is a Canadian writer of Ukrainian origin, while Andriy Kurkov is one of Ukraine’s most prominent contemporary authors. In their work, both examine the impact of war, albeit through different literary approaches, ranging from fiction to non-fiction.
The discussion will be moderated by journalist Laura Capelhuchnik.
