Five Ukrainian film producers invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

Their names, along with those of 529 other invitees, have been published on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ website.

Oleg Kokhan is a theatre and film producer. Among the directors with whom his production company, SOTA Cinema Group, has collaborated are Kira Muratova, Krzysztof Zanussi, Myroslav Slaboshpytskyy and others.

Olga Bergman and Nataliya Libet are co-founders of the independent film production company 2Brave Productions. Among their projects are the films Stop-Zemlia and Timestamp.

Ihor Savichenko has produced more than 20 feature-length fiction and documentary films, including When the Trees FallIndependence Day and Brothers: The Last Confession.

Volodymyr Yatsenko is a film producer, military officer and co-founder of ForeFilms. His portfolio includes such films as U Are the Universe and Luxembourg, Luxembourg.

Also among those invited to join the Academy is the American producer Michelle Mizner, who worked on the films 2,000 Metres to Andriyivka and 20 Days in Mariupol.

An invitation was also extended to Craig Renaud, the brother of documentary filmmaker Brent Renaud, who was killed in Ukraine in March 2022. Craig’s works include the film Armed Only with a Camera: The Life and Death of Brent Renaud, which chronicles the brothers’ work covering events in conflict zones.
