Over the past week, Russian forces attacked 13 regions of Ukraine, using more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 aerial bombs, and 62 missiles. A significant share of the missile strikes involved ballistic missiles.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.

According to Zelenskyy, emergency services continue working at the sites of Russia’s overnight and morning strikes.

In Kyiv, fires after the attacks were quickly extinguished, and emergency repair and restoration work is ongoing. In the capital and Kyiv Region, six people were injured as a result of Russian strikes.

The enemy struck Kryvyy Rih and Kremenchuk with ballistic missiles.

"Everywhere the Russians can reach with their ballistic missiles, they strike civilian infrastructure. In Kryvyy Rih, two people were killed and another 14 were injured. One person was killed in Sumy. My condolences to their family and loved ones. Since morning, air-raid alerts have continued in many regions: the Russians have launched a new wave of drones," the President noted.

The President thanked State Emergency Service personnel, police officers, and medics who are the first to arrive at the sites of Russian attacks, help the injured, and take part in dealing with the aftermath of strikes.

"This week alone, 13 regions came under attack. The enemy launched at our cities and communities more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 aerial bombs, and 62 missiles. Most of them were ballistic missiles of various types," the head of state said.

The President stressed the need to further strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses. Russian forces are using, among other things, North Korean ballistic missiles to strike Ukrainian infrastructure and civilian sites.

"When North Korean ballistic missiles destroy infrastructure and take lives here, in Europe, we cannot allow European interceptors to simply sit in warehouses. Protecting lives is necessary. Russia must be stopped. New aid packages literally mean lives saved and infrastructure protected every day. Thank you to every partner who is helping with this," the President emphasized.
