On the morning of 9 September, Russian forces attacked a railway station with a Shahed-type drone near the village of Iskra in the Kharkiv region. The drone struck the rear of the "Kharkiv – Izium" service.

The strike caused a fire. Preliminary reports say seven people were injured.
Ambulance crews are working at the scene, and those affected are being given the necessary assistance. Information on the consequences of the attack is being уточнюється.
According to information from the head of Ukrzaliznytsia, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, those injured include both passengers and railway staff. The injuries are from shrapnel and are not life-threatening.
"The train stopped for evacuation; we managed to save staff and passengers from the worst," Pertsovskyi explained.
- Yesterday, 8 September, Russian forces carried out a targeted strike on a regional train running on the "Dnipro – Zaporizhzhia" route. Passengers were evacuated in advance due to threat monitoring and were not injured. However, a train attendant was killed after returning to the carriage.
- In the Sumy region, the occupiers attacked a suburban diesel train. The attack left people with shrapnel wounds because they did not have time to move to a safe distance.
