The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, together with the United Nations Development Programme, has launched the Ukraine Energy Installation Facility (UEIF).
The project is planned to run for five years, the Ministry of Energy reported.
The platform will help finance and co-ordinate the final stages of implementing energy projects. This includes engineering assessments, site preparation, equipment installation, grid connections, commissioning of facilities and ongoing quality control.
Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal explained that this mechanism will make it possible to quickly turn international assistance into effective infrastructure and will speed up the delivery of important facilities for communities across the country.
Government bodies, local authorities, municipal utilities, technical experts and the private sector will be involved in implementing the initiative.
