Over the past day, one Ukrainian soldier was injured in combat in Donbas as militants waged 60 attacks on the positions of government troops, ATO HQ said on 16 January.
In the Mariupol sector, the enemy fired 122-mm at Ukrainian positions in the area of Hnutove. Mortars of various calibres pounded Pavlopil, Krasnohorivka and Shyrokyne, rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms - Pavlopil, Hnutove, Shyrokyne and Krasnohorivka. Enemy snipers were active in the areas of Shyrokyne and Maryinka.
In the Luhansk sector, militants fired 120- and 82-mm mortars at Novozvanivka and Trotyitske. Novozvanivka was under fire from grenade launchers. Russia-backed militants fired small arms and anti-tank missiles in the vicinity of the village of Zolote, Stanytsya Luhanska and Novooleksandrivka.
In the Donetsk sector, Avdiyivka was pounded with 152-mm artillery while Novhorodske and Dolomitne were attacked with mortar fire. Zaitsevo, Novhorodske, Avdiyivka and Verhnyotoretske were pounded with rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms.
On Saturday, 14 February, militants waged 60 attacks at the ATO positions in Donbas, killing one and wounding three Ukrainian soldiers.
