Ukraine has stopped taking gas from its underground storage facilities and started replenishing its stock, the PR and press officer of the Ukrainian gas transport company Ukrtranshaz, Maksym Belyavskyy, has said on Facebook.

"Ukraine has stopped using gas from storage facilities and started pumping it in at 4.5m cu.m. per day," he said. As of 11 March, there is 8.183bn cu.m. of gas in stock.

Ukraine used gas from underground storage facilities from 16 October to 11 March.

In 2016, Ukraine started a new season of pumping gas into underground storage on 7 April when there was 8.437bn cu.m. in stock.

The storage capacity of Ukrainian gas facilities is 31bn cu.m.
