MP Volodymyr Lytvyn quit the "Will of the People" group in parliament.
Lytvyn announced terminating membership in the parliamentary group The Will of the People at the morning session of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, 20 October.
The withdrawal of Lytvyn leaves the group with 18 members. The parliament's procedure sets the minimum number of members in a group at 19, so The Will of the People is bound to be dissolved.
Since its creation, the Will of the People was struggling for survival.
First, it was saved in the spring of 2015 as Serhiy Melnichuk, expelled from the Radical Party faction, joined the group; then it was joined by Oleksandr Feldman in November 2016; and by Serhiy Shakhov in February 2017.
In September, the group narrowly escaped dissolution by two new arrivals - Maksym Mykytas and Oleksandr Suprunenko.
