With the adoption of pension reform, pensions grew for more than 10 mn people in Ukraine. However, for 40% of pensioners the increase was less than 200 hryvnia, the country's Pension Fund says.

The Fund confirmed that after recalculations the average size of pensions increased by 561.18 hryvnia to 2 447.95 hryvnia.

The increase looks like follows:

 less than 200 hryvnya – 4 794,8 thousand people;

 from 200 to 300 hryvnya – 839.8 thousand people;

 from 300 to 400 hryvnya – 670.2 thousand people;

 from 400 to 500 hryvnya – 559.8 thousand people;

 from 500 to 1000 hryvnya – 1 291.6 thousand;

 from 1 000 to 2,000 hryvnya – 1 332.0 thousand;

 from 2 000 to 4500 hryvnya – 651.9 thousand people;

 over 5000 hryvnya – 98.8 thousand people.

As of 1 October, there we 11,766,808 pensioners in Ukraine.

In November, the government is to spend 30.1 bn hryvnya on pensions, including the extra 6.5 bn hryvnya to pay additionally charged amounts in the frameworks of the reforms.

The pension reform provides for an increase in the required length of insurance for retirement to 25 years in 2018 and an annual gradual increase to 35 years until 2028.
