Europe gives € 1.3 mn to support cultural sector in Ukraine

A total of about 100 grants will be provided.

British Council in partnership with the EU Network of National Institutions of Culture (EUNIC) in Ukraine announced a three-year Culture Bridges program.

According to the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the program is funded by the European Union in support of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

The program is aimed at the development of Ukrainian cultural sector and promoting effective links between cultural operators and institutions of Ukraine and the EU.

The program will last from November 2017 to October 2020. EU allocates € 1.3 mn to finance projects of international mobility, national and international cooperation, training and study visits to EU countries. In total, it is planned to allocate about 100 grants.

Among other features of Culture Bridges are joint creative projects of cultural institutes that are EUNIC members and the support of Ukrainian and European institutions that plan to apply for grants in Creative Europe program.

Application forms will be available from November 20, 2017. The reception of applications will be announced every three months in 2018 and 2019.
