Parliament will not discuss personnel issues next week, speaker Andriy Parubiy said at the agenda-setting council on 1 February, a source has told LB.ua.
According to Parubiy, there are enough votes in parliament to dismiss National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) governor Valeriya Hontaryeva. However, there is insufficient support for Yakov Smoliy tipped as her likely successor.
President Petro Poroshenko sent parliament his draft resolutions on Hontaryeva's dismissal and Smoliy's appointment as chief banker on 18 January.
