Yuliya Tymoshenko has said she and her Fatherland team always supported and seek to do their best to facilitate the granting of autocephaly to a Ukrainian Orthodox Church because this is part of the fight for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty.
“I say it loud and clear: our team and I personally, with all our heart and capacity, support the granting of autocephaly to a Ukrainian Orthodox Church to make our church independent from the Russian one, to give us a chance to strengthen our sovereignty by gaining true independence for our Orthodox church,” she said.
“This is part of our fight for our independence,” she said.
