Parliament has scheduled the next regular presidential election of Ukraine for 31 March 2019.
The decision was backed by 298 MPs.
A number of factions approved martial law on condition of setting this election date.
Under the constitution, a regular presidential election is held on the last Sunday of the fifth year of presidential powers.
The previous presidential election was held on 25 May 2014. Petro Poroshenko was elected president by 54.7% of votes.
