Ex-journalist and presidential candidate Dmytro Hnap, who earlier headed the Slidstvo.Info investigative journalism project, has decided to withdraw from the run in favour of Civic Position party leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko.
In a video address, Hnap said: "Earlier I promised I would withdraw my candidacy if there was a single candidate from democratic forces. I am confirming my promise and is ready to withdraw in favour of Hrytsenko."
He added that the final decision would be taken at the Power of People assembly tomorrow.
Earlier today, Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyy, who also had presidential ambitions, pulled out of the race in favour of Hrytsenko.
