Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has announced at a briefing that he is resigning.
He will tender his resignation letter after the next meeting of the government this Wednesday.
The prime minister said that the government does not resign after the election of a new president, only after the election of a new parliament.
According to Groysman, his government's achievements include the development of economy, decentralization, higher salaries and pensions, business development.
He thanked his colleagues for their work.
In April, Groysman made it clear that he was planning to run for parliament together with a new party.
