New President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that a ceasefire in the country's east and the return of Crimea and Donbas are the main priorities of his team.

He made this statement during his inauguration in parliament.

"Our primary task is a ceasefire in Donbas. I can assure you: I am willing to do everything for our heroes not to get killed anymore. And I am definitely not afraid to make difficult decisions. I am ready to lose my post without hesitation only for peace to be established. But without losing our territory," he said.

He also noted that he was ready for dialogue to end the war.

"And I am sure that the first step towards starting this dialogue will be the return of all our captives," he said in Russian.

The next step, in his opinion, should be the return of the lost territories. For this purpose, first of all, we should appeal to the consciousness of the residents of the occupied part of Donbas and annexed Crimea.
