The deputy prime minister and minister of regional development, construction, housing and utilities, Hennadiy Zubko, will not run for parliament in the snap election scheduled for 21 July.
"You will certainly not see me on the list," he said in an interview with LB.ua.
The interview casting light on why Zubko, who is considered to be an ally of ex-President Petro Poroshenko, decided against participating in the election will be published next week.
Zubko was appointed the deputy prime minister and minister of regional development, construction, housing and utilities in the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk in December 2014. In 2016, when Volodymyr Groysman replaced Yatsenyuk, Zubko kept the post.
