Gorshenin Institute will host a roundtable discussion entitled "Development of Ukraine's territorial defence: ways and opportunities for boosting potential". The event will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 7 November.

It is organised by Gorshenin Institute and the Ukrainian Security Studies Institute.

Points for discussion:

1. Best ways for the development of Ukraine's territorial defence.

2. Key functions of Ukraine's territorial defence.

3. Armament, training, control and motivation of Ukraine's territorial defence units.

4. Sources of financing and scope of responsibility of Ukraine's territorial defence units.

Roundtable participants:

· Valenyn Badrak , board member of the Ukrainian Security Studies Institute, director of the Centre for Army Research, Conversion and Disarmament;

· Oleksiy Gridin , board member of the Ukrainian Security Studies Institute, chairman of the Council of Volunteers at the Defence Ministry of Ukraine;

· Sergiy Zgurets , board member of the Ukrainian Security Studies Institute, director of the information and consulting company Defense Express;

· Sergiy Kryvonos, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine;

· Viktor Sokolov, First Vice-President of Gorshenin Institute;

· Oleksiy Lapin, instructor and division manager at Ukrainian Legion NGO, member of the working group on territorial defence at the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.
