Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a phone conversation with Russia's Vladimir Putin.
"The head of the Ukrainian state noted the importance of the recent return of Ukrainian ships by Russia. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that all the weapons, equipment and documents which were on these ships must be returned," his press service said.
The two also discussed the course of Ukraine-Russia-EU gas negotiations.
Russia attacked and captured three Ukrainian ships and their crews in the Kerch Strait on 25 November 2018. The crews were released as part of a major prisoner swap on 7 September 2019. Last week Russia returned the three ships stripped of any equipment and basic amenities.
