Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has expressed Ukraine's sympathy for Australia hit by massive fires.
He noted that around 200 specially trained State Emergencies Service rescuers are ready to be dispatched there to join rescue efforts.
"The Ukrainian side informed Australia about the readiness of the rescuers to arrive at the scene of the tragedy within 24-36 hours with the needed equipment on a specially chartered long-haul aircraft," he said on Facebook in English and Ukrainian.
He added that Kyiv was awaiting Australia's decision.
