Chinese company Huawei Technologies intends to provide free network equipment to Ukrainian mobile operators through their subsidiary company Huawei Ukraine to reduce the load on the network in the Western region of Ukraine.
“50 of our network engineers ensure stable network operations remotely and continue helping the operators to set up new websites. We also intend to provide free network equipment that will help prevent the overload due to the surge of new users in the Western region,” Interfax-Ukraine cites Huawei’s statement.
At the same time, Huawei denied the reports of helping Russia counter cyberattacks.
“At this time the reports are spreading about Huawei actively helping Russia to prevent cyberattacks. We stress that this information is not true,” the company says.
