Today is the ninth day of the heroic confrontation of Ukraine against the Russian military invasion. Occupiers concentrate their main efforts on besieging Kyiv and weakening the resistance of the settlements which are close to the capital.
This is reported by the Ministry of Defence.
The Russian military keep on missile and bomb attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages. They have used artillery and light artillery rocket systems to destroy critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings.
In the Volynskyi direction, there haven’t been any significant changes to the position of our forces.
In the Siverskyi direction, Chernihiv is defending heroically. The subdivisions of military task groups are maintaining their positions on the taken posts. In the area of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske settlement, there is a 200-unit column of military equipment and personnel near the water obstacle. The bridge across the river is ruined.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, the subdivisions of the group continue defending battles. They successfully carry out fire defeat of the enemy.
Also, the Ministry of Defence notes that the Joint Forces are performing the defence operation the same as before, with the efforts of two tactical groups.
In the Prymorskyi direction, the military task group is covering up the sea shore and performing tasks the aim of which is to prevent the Mykolaiv city from being besieged. The Ukrainian Air Force is fighting off the air attacks of the enemy. They keep carrying out systematic military actions. For now, Russian invaders have already lost 37 aircrafts and 37 helicopters.
“The defenders of Kyiv keep fighting off the enemy’s attack, defeating them with offensive operation groups and maintaining the defined posts. The enemy is demoralized. The locals show by all possible means that the Russians are not welcome. The fighting is going on all over the country. Together we will win! We encourage you to use only reliable sources of information and not give in to panic, because this is what the enemy wants,” adds the Ministry of Defence.
We remind you that the Ministry of Defence asks Ukrainians to resist. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced five changes of the enemy’s tactics.
