In 2022, there will not be any external independent testing (EIT) in Ukraine. The State final attestation and entrance exams in universities have also been canceled.

The Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet said this on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"There will be no university exams to prevent any corruption. Something like an external evaluation will be created but without the child's participation. Everything will be transparent as the computer does not participate in any corruption schemes. Let's try to do it in 2022 without stress for a child, without the use of the EIT mechanism ", - explained the Minister of Education and Science.

Serhiy Shkarlet reminded that the relevant bill had been submitted to the parliament and expressed hope that it would be adopted in the near future.

To those who criticise this decision, he advises taking into account the opinion of parents. Most of them, according to him, are in favor of the abolition of external testing.

"Most parents are in favor of canceling the external evaluation and exams this year. Admission will be carried out according to a certain electronic system," said Scarlett.

The Ministry of Education and Science together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, educational and parent communities has proposed a one-time change of algorithms for state final certification for 11th-grade students and admission to higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2022.

It is noted that the abolition of external evaluation today is necessary to preserve the student contingent, national intellectual potential, incentives to study in Ukraine, even in such a difficult time for the country and society.
