Serhiy Tsygipa, an information defense activist from Nova Kakhovka, has disappeared in the Kherson region

Sergey Tsigipa, an activist of the information defense of Nova Kakhovka, disappeared on Saturday, March 12.

It was reported by his daughter Darina.

According to her, Serhiy left home with his dog on Saturday morning and nothing is yet known about him.

"My father Serhiy Tsygipa left home with his dog and disappeared yesterday, March 12, at 10 am in the city of Nova Kakhovka.

“He is a journalist, activist, and volunteer, covering the news of the occupied city. Who knows any information about his location. Share," - she wrote on Facebook.

Earlier it was also reported that journalist Oleh Baturyn had disappeared in the Kherson region. Kakhovka, where he lives, is not currently occupied by the Russian military, unlike Nova Kakhovka. However, the Russian military was spotted near the bus station at about 4:50 p.m. according to local chats. Baturyn's friend allegedly arranged a meeting at the bus station.

The Ex-People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Serhiy Khlan said that the occupiers were calling the deputies of the Kherson Regional Council with a proposal to cooperate. Khlan stated that he flatly refused the offer and urged his colleagues to do the same. According to him, the occupants want to hold a referendum on the creation of the "People's Republic of Kherson" in the region.

Nova Kakhovka is located 80 km from occupied Crimea. To the southwest of Nova Kakhovka is Kherson, which was also occupied by the Russian invaders. Although the cities are surrounded by Russian checkpoints, they currently bear the Ukrainian flag, and their residents go to meetings against the Russian occupation.
