Cat Stepan from Kharkiv raised ten thousand dollars to help animals in Ukraine. This is stated on his Instagram page. "Thank you for your kindness and support, we managed to raise $ 10,035. Thanks to your support, we will be able to provide decent care and treatment for every animal in Ukraine," the statement says.

The post says that the money will go to Ukrainian animal protection organizations, animal shelters and zoos, including the Mykolayiv Zoo.

Cat Stepan's owner Anna started the fundraising on 24 March 2022.

Cat Stepan has 1.2m subscribers. He used to live in Kharkiv, but recently his owner said they managed to evacuate to France.

On 11 March 2022, seven bears were evacuated from an animal shelter near Kyiv. They are staying in the Domazhyr Rehabilitation Center.
