Russia shelled the Zakarpattia region for the first time since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration reports.

"Rocket struck an infrastructure object in the mountainous area of Zakarpattia. Rescue services are working on-site, the details on the damage and possible casualties are being clarified," – the RMA head Viktor Mykyta reported.

The Ukrainian air defence units have shot down rockets over Vinnytsia and in the Kyiv region, other cities' authorities have also reported explosions.

In Lviv, according to its mayor Andriy Sadovyy, four powerful explosions were heard in the evening. The air raid alarm has been on. He called on the citizens to stay in the shelters. Sadovyy also reported that some districts of the city are having power outages.
