The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny published a video dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. He noted that the slogan "Never again" did not come true, because in the center of Europe - a bloody and insidious war is happening again.

"The aggressor cynically uses the memory and terms of the Second World War. But we will survive. We are strong. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are the first army of the world. We have defeated Nazism - we will defeat rushism! [translator's note - russian+fascism]” he wrote.

In the ranks of the Soviet Union Army in 1939-1945, about 7 million Ukrainians fought Nazism.

This year, due to the war unleashed by russia, there will be no mass events in Ukraine on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation on May 8 and the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II on May 9.

Ukrainians are urged to pay special attention to the air alerts these days, as the threat of missile strikes is extremely high. Yesterday, the enemy already fired missiles at Odessa and the region.
