Adviser to the head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podoliak reacted to the statement of the occupying ‘authorities’ of Kherson about the intention to "join russia". He stressed that the Ukrainian army will definitely liberate the city.
"The only request ‘gauleiters’ of the Kherson region can make is a pardon request after the court verdict. The occupiers may as well ask to join Mars or Jupiter. Ukrainian Army will liberate Kherson, no matter what word games occupiers try.” wrote Podoliak in his Twitter.
Earlier, russian media began spreading a statement by Kherson collaborator kirill stremousov, whom russians call "deputy head of the military-civil administration," about his intention to request russian president vladimir putin to "join the region to russia."
On May 7, the Security Service of Ukraine detained Stremousov's aide, former director of Khersonkomuntransservis Pavlo Tkachenko. He is accused of treason.
Earlier, the SSU announced the suspicion of treason to the so-called head of the Kherson city administration, "appointed" by the occupiers, Oleksandr Kobets. The suspicion was also announced to Volodymyr Salda, the "head of the regional administration" proclaimed by the occupiers.
By preliminary estimates, about 45% of residents have left the temporarily occupied Kherson since March. While, the occupiers didn’t granted green corridors, so people risked their lives and left, organizing in columns. Initially, the route passed through Oleksandrivka and Snihurivka, and when they were closed by the occupiers - through Davydiv Brid to Kryvyi Rih. However, this road has been closed for more than a week.
