Canada has imposed sanctions on four russian companies and 22 citizens, says government official website.

The following enterprises were restricted: Investtorgbank, Rosselkhozbank, RVC Management Company, and Russian Direct Investment Fund Management Company.

In the additional list of individuals - 22 people involved. It is opened by Alina Maratovna Kabayeva, born in 1983.

Personal sanctions have also been imposed on the two daughters of oligarch Mykhailo Friedman (Larisa and Kateryna Friedman), oligarch Oleksandr Braverman, his relatives and others.

Earlier European Union was proposing to impose sanctions against Alina Kabayeva, who is called the mistress of russian president vladimir putin. Kabayeva heads the board of directors of russia's National Media Group, which owns stakes in almost all major russian media outlets that disseminate state propaganda.

Britain expanded its list of sanctions against russia in May. It includes putin's relatives, his ex-wife Lyudmila, now named Ocheretna, and his mistress Kabayeva.
