The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany called for the transfer of the Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian army

Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, called on the government to hand over armored vehicles to the Ukrainian army in a Twitter post.

"Why are you denying the Ukrainian army these Marder infantry fighting vehicles, immediately available at Rheinmetall, while Ukraine is bleeding out in the Donbas in front of your eyes?" - Andriy Melnyk wrote.

The German weapons manufacturer Rheinmetall is modernizing 100 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, which in the past were in the service of the Bundeswehr. The company is ready to supply Ukrainians with several ready-made IFVs immediately, but the decision is up to the federal government.
