Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will terminate the Agreement between Ukraine and russia "On visa-free travel for citizens of Ukraine and the russian federation and the application of certain international treaties of Ukraine with the russian federation."

This was confirmed to LB.ua by government sources.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba will report on the issues at the meeting.

Updated. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the introduction of a visa regime. The new rules will take effect on July 1, 2022.

The petition filed on February 11 to introduce a visa regime for russians in May received 26,742 votes out of the required 25,000. Then, President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that he had sent a letter to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, "asking him to work on this issue."

The President later stressed that the visa regime with russia is "a good idea that needs to be brought to fruition".
