Russian troops shelled the territory of Ukraine from the Caspian and Black seas, using the full range of missiles available to them, the spokesman for the press service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff, Yuzef Venskovych, has told the Ukrainian nationwide telethon.

"The enemy uses the entire range of missiles it has in service. Today, first of all, cruise missiles were used from the Caspian Sea area. These were Kh-101, Kh-555 launched from Tu-95 and Tu-160 aircraft. Also, cruise missiles were used from the Black Sea and a number of Iskander missiles were fired from the S-300 air defence system. The occupier attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine with Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles too," Venskovych said.

According to him, the increase in the number of air defence systems in Ukraine has had a positive impact on the ability to destroy enemy missiles of any basing.

Venskovych warned Ukrainians to be ready for repeated attacks. "The threat of repeated missile attacks exists at any time, so we must not lose vigilance. I urge citizens to observe safety measures, in case of air raid alert, go to the shelter and do not neglect air raid signals," he said.

As a result of Russian shelling on the morning of 10 October, critical infrastructure facilities in eight regions and the capital were hit. Eleven Ukrainians were killed and 64 were injured.
