The Red Cross has denied reports about the alleged suspension of its operation in Ukraine.
On the contrary, the ICRC said on Facebook that: "In connection with today's rocket attacks on the cities of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society is working in an enhanced mode, providing assistance to the victims. Partners in the international Red Cross movement also continue to work in Ukraine to jointly help as many people as possible."
Today, Reuters quoted the International Committee of the Red Cross as saying that its teams had paused operations. A second Red Cross spokesperson later added that while field work had temporarily halted, aid workers were able to continue desk work.
Russians are spreading disinformation about the beginning of a humanitarian catastrophe in the cities that suffered from missile strikes and calls to leave them.
