A powerful explosion occurred at night on 31 October at the Veretye air base in Pskov Region, Russia, destroying two Ka-52 attack helicopters. Two more "alligators" were significantly damaged.

Details on the destruction of other equipment and personnel are being specified, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported. 

Ka-52 Alligator (Hokum B according to NATO classification) is a Russian-made reconnaissance and attack helicopter. The cost is about $16 million. Such helicopters take part in strikes on Ukraine.

This morning Ka-52 was shot down in Kherson Region. Russians suffer losses of such helicopters in Ukraine regularly.
